Charles Saladin was a French engineer who was one of the early pioneers in creating modern day malting techniques and equipment. Many distilleries use the long concrete or metal trench known as the "Saladin box", named after him. The Saladin system of mechanical and pneumatic malting was first introduced into the U.S. in 1887 by Mr. Louis C. Huck. Since that time the Saladin brand has gone on to become the most well known name in Malting equipment. Today the Saladin Corporation is proudly owned by the Tromley Industrial Holdings Corp. |
